Application for Intelligent Data Engineering and Analytics

AIDeA application

The mobile and web applications prepared by Digital University Kerala (DUK) for the Department of Economic Statistics were officially launched by Hon. Chief Minister Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan on 03-01-2026 at 1:00 PM. This application, named Application for Intelligent Data Engineering and Analytics (AIDEA), is available at the web address www.aidea.kerala.gov.in. The AiDeA mobile application also available in Google Play Store.

As the agency handling official statistics in the state, the Department of Economic Statistics will facilitate the smooth implementation of various surveys and data collection processes, ensure the accuracy and transparency of the data collected, and provide quick access to information required for planning and increase efficiency through technology. The EARAS module, which is currently implemented as part of the AIDEA application, is a module that enables the collection of field-level data of the agricultural survey conducted by the Economic Statistics Department in all the Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations of the state through a mobile application and monitoring and report preparation through a web portal. In the future, a module will also be prepared as part of the AIDEA application to provide price information of various types of goods collected by the department daily, including direct access from the market, and to provide timely analytics to the public. 

The application launch ceremony held at the Chief Minister's Office was attended by Special Secretary Dr. Veena N Madhavan IAS from the Planning and Economic Affairs Department, Director Smt. Rashmi C.P, former Director Sri. Rajath G S, Additional Directors Smt. Shylamma K, Smt. Shalini P.K, Senior Administrative Officer Sri. Sam Joseph, Joint Director Sri. Gopakumar S, Deputy Director Mr. D.S. Shibukumar, Senior Statistical Officer Sri. Hareesh S and Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Mr. Uma Shankar and Mr. Vimal D. Kumar, Smt. Smitha V S, Sri. Adarsh A from Centre for Digital Transformation & Innovation (CDTI) Division of  the Digital University Kerala.
